This year several forest fires erupted near and in the 30 km (18.6 miles) exclusion zone around the plant, a problem to populations as this areas remain contaminated by radioactive particles that then spread through the air.

  • Bogdan Kharchenko, 14 remains introspective with his "host sister" just before departing to Ukraine again at Lisbon International airport. Despite his age, Bogdan never came to Portugal since he has a slight difference in the size of his two legs and for that reason his mother never suggested his name to the Blue Summer program. In the last visit to Ukraine Liberty Seguros representative got to know that and added his name to the list.
