  • Mafalala is the district of Maputo, where Eusébio lived - the famous soccer player named "Black Panther".  Mafalala was also the land of Samora Machel, the first president of Mozambique and José Craverinha, one of the most important poets of Mozambique. In this region,  a local revolution began after the portuguese colonization, in Mafalala started the main cultural and artistic movement, that for  f years has characterized Mozambique.over a long period of time the district Mafalala remained forgotten in time, but now it no longer happens. A  NGO made of young students of the university of Maputo -  named Iverca -,  is trying to re-establish the old glory of the district. They are organizing tourist tours trought the district to show the foreign visitors the life in the district and also to explain the importance of this place.The NGO in charge of revitalization of this place, is also responsible for organizing the Mafala Festival, which happens once a year and is characterized by making  known the local cuisine and especially for giving the opportunity for visitors to listen to jazz and blues bands playing .

  • Garachico is a town on the northern coast of Tenerife. The town itself nestles below a 500m cliff. Garachico and the surrounding area is arguably the least spoilt coastal area of Tenerife with a very Spanish in character.<br />
The May 5, 1706 eruption originating from the northwest rift zone was a major event in the town's history. Prior to then, Garachico was an important port exporting Malmsey Wine and other local produce. However, a several-week-long eruption poured lava into the old bay and effectively destroyed the town's livelihood. Lava rocks on the sea with a natural swimming pool.
